Unwary

Even when I don’t think this is very funny,
I still bathe in the sheer joy of your laughter,
that soothing faint breath at my side in bed,
while I’m trying to get some rest without sleep.

Remain strong and don’t contribute to their madness,
grab me and we’ll walk safe from this scaling fear,
this constant fuming of pain can’t penetrate our control,
a partnership which excels despite their driving hate.

Our intimate belief stands solid against their lies,
attempting to override what we’ve lovingly grown,
held alone so distance than this needy audience,
charging around sorely missing a head of one’s own.

It has never been easy on to our lasting rewards,
whether we’re supposed to be considered down,
their numbing count just seems to richly invigorate,
gliding unchallenged above this shame and greed.

Together during their strange clash of deceiving volleys,
searching for about the worst ability to run the world,
proposed in a slow death march voicing copied smiles,
of ultimate devalue to force gold back in their ground.

We can’t debate until they vainly decide insisting a mistake,
for these fiends actually require bravado to cut their throats,
how to consequently fertilize our depleted fields in its wake,
banging shovels across exclaimations for markers of graves.
