Falsify

You know that you can intend playing to win,
write out a series of strategies before you begin,
but that’s really just your mistake,
since it ain’t nearly that simple, yet.
Yeah, the starving plan someday to eat,
those disqualified protest to be able to compete,
one diagnosed with cancer wants to fight,
and the weakling finally decides to attain might.

We know that talk is only part of this equation,
gather together pieces from many different puzzles,
now try to force them to fit while no one’s watching,
then little by little a crowd starts to appreciate your attempt,
essentially and effectively throwing these pestering rules away,
back to those rigid robots who made and worship them,
which even later accidentally negates all of your work as well,
except you fooled them long enough to stash plenty of money.

I know that the sun will shine today instead,
wishes serve a purpose for temporary relief,
tomorrow’s another chance to be betrayed,
words need to remain honest and genuine,
if you actually want their lasting result to stay,
without your grandchildren crushed by past lies,
bound tight in others also realizing this sorry game,
not learning from your faults so they too die early.
